Mammoth Dunes 13th Hole
by Evan Schiller Photography
On my first visit to Sand Valley and seeing Mammoth Dunes only 9 holes were open for preview play, the par 3 13th was not one of them. However, I was lucky to meet David McLay Kidd the course designer for the first time, who took me for a tour. Many of the holes were still be shaped and yet others being grassed. I remember when we drove up to the 13th hole how excited David was when talking about about this short par 3, even though it was not finished. Well, he should have been because its an amazing golf hole.
